- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Instructions to make to make Arhar Tuvar Dal
- Soak the daal for ½ hour..
- Then add the daal to a cooker and add water
- Then add salt turmeric powder and red chilli powder..
- Then add the garlic cloves and ginger garlic paste to it and close the lid of the cooker and cook on medium flame..
- After a whistle.. Switch off the flame..
- When the pressure comes down open the lid..
- Then add 2 cups or as required water to it..
- Cook until it starts boiling..
- Then heat a tadka pan and add desi ghee to it..
- When ghee melts add the cumin seeds to it..
- When cumin seeds starts crackling add the garlic cloves and red and green chillies to it.
- When garlic cloves are golden brown in colour add the turmeric and chilli powder to it and switch off the flame..
- Then pour this tempering over your daal.. And your daal is ready..
- Take it out in a serving bowl and serve with chapati or plain rice.
